A great opportunity has arisen at Hovis we're looking for a number of Despatch Operators at our site in Avonmouth-Bristol to carry out duties and instructions so that all products requiring to be despatched are in the correct quantities, the correct quality, and assembled and loaded to the deadlines and standards that are required by our customers.


We are looking for the following candidates:-

  • To operate MHE to carry out tasks within the despatch operation. Ensuring compliance with daily checks on MHE.
  • Take finished goods off the take-off point from manufacturing and zone into relevant area for despatch.
  • Pick and load inter-company orders using MHE.
  • Pick and load orders for the Ndc
  • Ensure all vehicles/trailers are internally clean and fit for use before loading
  • Ensure 100% compliance with company delivery procedures
  • Operate the Track & Trace System within the despatch area
  • Removing and replacing of any damaged products from baskets, and ensuring any gaps where the slicers have misplaced bread are filled.
  • Ensure full compliance to Health & Safety Regulations
  • Ensure full compliance to the company's "clean as you go" policy


Desired Skills and Experience

  • FLT Licence would be advantageous, although full training will be given
  • Basic numeracy and literacy essential to the job
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work load in a systematic manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • A good sense of the importance of good customer service
  • The ability to operate and understand the Track & Trace system

Salary:- £24,700
