Working in our Bakery in Avonmouth , the Bulk Depstach FLM is responsible for the effective and efficient control of procedures, processes and staff operating within the Finished Goods department and to ensure that the department and staff working therein uphold company and legal Health and Safety standards.  You must be able to organize a team in order to provide effective cover throughout the shift, for all key activities.  Being directly responsible for all colleagues in Despatch Operatives and our tray wash facility.  Ensuring the team performs effectively safely and comply with all Hovis standards and behaviours.

  

Main duties are:

 

  • The effective & efficient planning of all staffing within area of control
  • Ensure compliance to company & legal Health & Safety standards
  • To produce and maintain / amend the production schedules to ensure customer service deliverables are fully met on time and in full.
  • The accurate allocation of products to be sliced and wrapped within the slicing department to fulfil the daily requirements including any stock
  • Undertaking physical stock counts as and when required
  • The accurate and timely monitoring of the SAP demand table to ensure any order adjustments are met
  • The highlighting of any issues that could lead to a customer shortage and reacting to resolve
  • Attending the daily manufacturing conference call
  • To own the site adhoc procedure
  • Reduction of site over produced product
  • Build an effective and high performing team
  • Responsible for all Health & Safety, Risk assessments and  procedures within area
  • Ensure continuous improvement of own area
  • Participation on Health and Safety TOPS tours
  • Kaizen gap planning
  • Forward planning.

 

Essential experience:

  • Work experience as a scheduler
  • Experience within a production environment
  • People management experience

 

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a food manufacturing destapch of finished goods
  • Production planning
  • Bakery experience
