Hovis have an exciting opportunity as a Multi Skilled Warehouse Operative based at our site in Avonmouth, Bristol. Reporting to the Supply Chain FLM, the Multi Skilled Warehouse Operative will be responsible for the daily activities within the despatch department, including minimising waste, ensuring orderfill fulfillment of 100%, achieving set targets prior to cut off and achieving objectives set out by the Logistics function.

 

We have the following shifts available:-

> 10:00-21:00 – 4 on 4 off shift pattern

> Various shifts on the 4 on 4 off shift pattern, start times between 2pm & 5pm (11 hour shifts)

> 14:00-01:00 – 168 shift pattern (see below)

 

168 shift pattern (all days below are 14:00-01:00)-

Week 1 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday

Week 3 – Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Week 4 – Sunday

 

How will you contribute?

·To carry out all aspects of the warehouse function in order to complete the daily workload within the planned time schedules  

  Always comply with all applicable corporate and legal standards (personal safety, food safety, quality, hygiene and environment).

·To ensure that you deliver to targets set on a shift, on a weekly basis

·To ensure the warehouse function is completed to the highest standard

·To ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded within key performance indicator targets

·To ensure that products are picked in the baskets correctly using block picking

·To ensure that a high level of housekeeping hygiene is maintained at all times

·Multi-skilled Warehouse Operatives will be trained on the Put to Light picking system and Track & Trace system

·Multi-skilled Warehouse Operatives will be trained and will have the ability to operate within a fast moving warehouse

·

Average of 39 hours per week

 

What will you bring?

· Previous warehouse experience is desirable

· A FLT licence is desirable but not essential as in house training will be given

· Successful candidate will be flexible, good attendance and good timekeeping

· The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated and a committed individual with a can do approach

· Will have the ability to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines

· Will have a positive attitude to work and be flexible to meet the challenging demands of the operation

· Will be an effective communicator and be able to develop good working relationships at all levels

· Ideally we are looking for someone who is self motivated, diligent, productive, committed and has the natural drive for results and meeting targets

The successful candidates will be highly motivated, focused, reliable and hardworking, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team. Previous warehouse experience is desirable and the ability to work in a fast moving environment. Full training will be provided.
