A great opportunity has arisen at our Hovis site in Avonmouth. We are looking for a Traywash Operative to contribute to the achievement of compliance, quality and performance standards within the Traywash department. 

 

We are looking for the following candidates:-

  • To operate the traywash for the cleaning of bread baskets and ensure these are delivered to the slicing department
  • To assist the trays & banks operative with off loading and loading of baskets from vehicles using MHE
  • To safely operate forklift trucks and isolate machinery
  • To complete pre-start up checks at the beginning of each working shift
  • To make an active and positive contribution to the sites Logistics Team
  • An understanding that Health & Safety is at the heart of everything that we do
  • Flexibility in a fast moving and changing environment
  • Good timekeeping and attendance

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Forklift Truck Licence
  • Previous machine operation experience
  • Good understanding of site audit requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • Relevant qualification to at least basic food hygiene
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of COSHH and safety essentials
  • Food Allergen awareness
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work load in a systematic manner

 

Location: Based in Avonmouth

Type of role: Full time, Permanent

Reporting to: Supply Chain FLM

Closing Date: 25th January 2021

Shift Work: 168 rota over 24/7, 365 days per year

Salary: £22,446
