Customers

  • Fulfilment of daily orders. Delivery of the shift production plan on time and in full
  • Be a flexible and committed team member, who is quality and customer service focussed
  • Participate in new product development activities
  • Strive to achieve customer service excellence at all times
  • Ensure that all food safety, process control, quality and compliance documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in customer visits / audits when required to do so

 

Strategy and Planning

 

  • Participate in employee development and training initiatives and activities.
  • Use knowledge and experience to anticipate and solve problems
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure the team delivers the KPI targets
  • Ensure that a “treat as your own” philosophy is embraced with regard to company equipment and property
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to  “Clean As You Go” in the work place

 

Execution & implementation

  • Ensure that safety is paramount, working safely at all times and adhering to all work instructions and procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Report hazards promptly to management   
  • Use Company systems to record quality and performance data
  • Take personal responsibility for 100% compliance to the appropriate dress code policy
  • Take personal responsibility for 100% compliance to the Personal Protective Equipment requirements
  • Ensure your work area adheres to the highest standards of hygiene and safety
  • Actively make and suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities
  • Be a flexible and committed member of the team
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably required

Financial and Operational Control

  • To support the team in the achievement of its KPI’s.
  • Continually strive to improve plant performance, waste & finished product quality
  • Monitor line performance and material usage taking corrective action when required

Cross functional planning

 

  • Transfer of finished products to Despatch on time and in full
  • Work with the Charge hands and FLMs to ensure all KPIs and targets are achieved

 

Key Outputs / Metrics

  • To ensure efficient production through achieving the KPI’s for the plant

 

Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience at selection

Essential:

  • Minimum 6 month’s experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Flexible and willing work across all plants when required
  • Experience of operating production machinery
  • Good team player
  • Good numeracy & literacy skills
  • Good attendance and timekeeping record
  • Promotes a high standard of housekeeping
  • Ability to transfer skills to other areas of the bakery if needed
  • Audit-ready mentality

Desirable:

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Manual Handling Training
  • Basic  IT skills
