An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Bradford Bakery for an Engineering Front Line Manager to join our Engineering Team. The role will be responsible for managing, developing and leading functional excellence in a team of Shift Engineers, focused on improvements and responsible for generating and delivering capital projects/management for all aspects of material usage on site.

 

Key Responsibilities include: -

 

  • PPM & Corrective work compliance
  • Budget Control
  • Ratio of running to stopped maintenance
  • H&S KPI’s
  • Support operational FLMs with technical knowledge
  • Contractor work scoping and control
  • To generate improvement ideas, plan and implement
  • Share best practice with other sites
  • Development & Management of line engineering team
  • H&S Management
  • Develop a culture of autonomous maintenance
  • Occassional (high tech) physical maintenance activity
  • Provide support to the ‘reactive’ teams by exception
  • Propose, submit and manage capital projects up to £50k
  • Ensure total compliance will all applicable corporate and legal standards (personal safety, food safety, quality, hygiene and environment)

 

The ideal candidate should:

 

  • Be adaptable, flexible and demonstrate a willingness to accept changes in operational requirements at short notice
  • Have Food or FMCG Engineering experience
  • Have the Ability to work on own initiative
  • Have Knowledge of basic baking techniques
  • Have Leadership/Management experience
  • Budget Control awareness
  • Good knowledge of H&S

 

The hours for the role are Monday to Friday with flexibility to support the needs of the business.
