We’re looking for a strong, people-focused Front Line Manager (Logistics) to lead the Radial & Primary shift within our 24/7 Bradford operation. This is a key leadership role where you’ll manage, develop and motivate your team to deliver safe, compliant and operationally excellent logistics performance. You’ll ensure finished goods are supplied to customers efficiently through effective transport management, network planning and strong supply chain processes.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Driving full compliance with transport legislation and Operator Licence requirements
- Managing driver hours, tachograph compliance and vehicle defects
- Promoting a strong “Safety First” culture across your team
- Monitoring and improving KPIs including A–G driver performance, MPG, utilisation and accident cost per mile
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing resources effectively to control costs and deliver service excellence
- Coaching and developing your team to achieve high performance
- Building strong cross-functional relationships
- Creating an engaged, empowered and accountable culture
Essential:
- Logistics / transport experience
- Strong leadership and coaching capability Knowledge of systems,tachograph and telematics systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety
Desirable:
- ILM Level 2/3 Transport Manager
- CPC – Road Haulage
