A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance co-ordinator to join our Engineering team at the Bradford site.

Working closely with the Engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the Engineering Department in delivering an effective maintenance service to continuously improve plant reliability. Supporting in the planning of all required PPMs and compliance actions within the relevant time frames to comply with legislation requirements.

 

Working with the Engineering and wider Supply Chain team, some of the key accountabilities include;

 

  • To support site with statutory inspections and other retailer audits
  • To provide general support to assist with the delivery of quality products
  • Assist in Planning of daily / weekly OEE issues and actions across all shifts.
  • General support to assist with the delivery of quality products by ensuring PPMs are carried out in line with the schedule.
  • Adhoc project support
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement tasks
  • Participate in safety tours
  • Audit and support engineering workshop checks

 

The ideal candidate will be one that is passionate not only about the work they do but the brand they work for, takes ownership of what they do and is able to influence multiple stakeholders in the right way. They will also be able to focus individuals on specific tasks and behaviours, by bringing a positive, encouraging and consistent behaviour and are able to create a compelling story for the future as well as role model the Hovis Leadership Standards.

 

 

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities:

 

Essential:

 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • GCSE GRADE C (or equivalent)  in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a planning or administration role within a manufacturing or maintenance led department is key
  • Carrying out risk assessments. 
  • Self-sufficient and able to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Driven and has a ‘can do attitude’
  • Previous experience of using Microsoft Office packages
  • Accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Ability to plan, organise, schedule and prioritise diaries to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop relationships across all levels

 

Desirable:

 

  • Knowledge of PLC control applications
  • BTEC diploma in relevant subject 
  • Audit experience 
  • Witten ALARP assessments 
  • Experience in working with RCA tools. 
  • Contractor Control
  • Experience in lean manufacturing
  • Experience with COSHH 
  • CMMS system experience
