Job Title: Bakery Operative – Lighter duty roles

Location: Erith

Core responsibilities:

• Operating the plant and process in a safe and compliant manner.
• Completing documentation accurately and promptly.
• Following instructions and procedures correctly.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in their immediate work area by adopting “Clean as You Go” philosophy.
• Supporting the delivery of the site’s KPI’s for Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
• Being accountable for the production of high quality products that are safe.

Key skills:

• Handling finished products, transferring into an in-feed line and removing poor quality products to waste (Muffin & Roll Packing)
• Handling packed finished products and transferring from the packing table into a basket (Muffin & Roll Packing)
• Manually move the full finished product basket and stack together at 12 baskets high (Muffin Packing)
• Accessing high level conveyors for basket release (Roll Packing)
• Making-up boxes and apply a blue box liner (ISB Packing)
• Transferring unwrapped finished product from baskets to boxes (ISB Packing)
• Using hand tools to tape-up the box once finished product has been transferred (ISB Packing)
• Applying a label x2 to each box by hand (ISB Packing)
• Transferring sealed and labelled box from the packing table pallets (ISB Packing)
