What’s the opportunity?

 

Due to internal development, we’ve got an exciting opportunity for an L&D Advisor to join Hovis. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things Learning & Development, supporting various initiatives business-wide. You'll be working closely with different teams, providing advice, and keeping things running smoothly when it comes to central L&D activities and Apprenticeships. Plus, you'll be lending a hand in creating and delivering top-notch training solutions.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • You’ll be a key point of contact across the organisation for all things ‘Hovis Academy’ and other training solutions, working across functions to develop content and providing coaching on system use.
  • Tracking and maintaining a database of learner needs and supporting the evaluation of central training initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Working with various 3rd parties and suppliers to source appropriate training solutions and coordinating review and evaluation of such initiatives.
  • Managing the training budget tracker and reporting monthly. Monitoring provider contracts and making recommendations on alternatives and renegotiations.
  • Owning and maintaining the calendar of training activities (internal and external).
  • Be the first point of contact for the business regarding Apprenticeships, taking ownership of this whole initiative and supporting with recruitment, induction, delivery, and development of Hovis Early Careers.

 

We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about Learning & Development within an organisation. You'll own what you do and have a knack for influencing different stakeholders in a positive way. Your positivity, encouragement, and consistency will help you guide individuals towards specific tasks and behaviours.

 

What are ‘must haves’ from you?

 

  • Enthusiasm and interest in developing self and others
  • Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail, happy to work to deadlines
  • Training delivery experience
  • Sound IT skills
  • A confident communicator that influences people and builds relationships

 

What would be ideal?

 

  • Part CIPD qualified
  • Experience of E - Learning as a development tool
  • Experience of working with a Learning Management System
  • Experience of working with competency frameworks and their application
  • Experience of working with psychological profiling tools
  • Insights accredited
