A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Biased Multi Skilled Engineer to join our world class engineering team.  

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out planned routine and reactive maintenance repair work on all plant and equipment at the bakery site.
  • Complete written reports on maintenance work carried out and identify future work. 
  • Plan and implement improvement ideas to increase the throughput and efficiency of the operating plants.
  • To ensure the best possible resolve is achieved to those issues experienced, in order to meet the reliability requirements of the Bakery production schedules.
  • To be part of a team providing essential maintenance operations, whilst maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards, abiding to GMP and food handling hygiene standards in order to provide maximum manufacturing efficiency at the Nottingham site.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS and  REQUIREMENTS

 

Essential

●      2 years Proven Multi-skilled engineering experience

●      Experience on PLC process equipment & plant

●      Have reasonable fitness

●      GSCE Grade C or above in English & Maths or equivalent.         

●      Have completed a      Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship

●      ONC / NVQ III / C&G 2&3 certificates

●      Computer literacy

●      Capability to read and understand technical documentation e.g. electrical schematics

●      Be Self motivated

●      Hold a Full driving licence

●      Effective verbal & written communication skills

●      Must be flexible with hours when required to meet the needs of the business

 

Desirable

 

●      Previous Engineering experience within a food manufacturing  business

●      PLC programming experience

●      Btec diploma in relevant subject

●      17th  Edition IEE wiring regulation

●      Strong engineering competence on Bakery production plant and auxiliary equipment

●      Experience with Permit to Work systems

●      Experience with COSHH regulations

●      Experience of continuous improvement

●      Pest Control Awareness

●      Basic Food Hygiene

●      Able to self manage and prioritise own work load to satisfy commitments and meet agreed deadlines
