  • The efficient running of one or more plants, including ovens, wrapping and slicing sections where required, in line with Company rules and guidelines, and current legal requirements.
  • Scheduling of production requirements allowing for stock and adjustments to meet customer orders and ensure all materials are available to fulfil the plan.
  • Ensuring all staff comply with individual, site and legal health & safety requirements and regulations.  Take action to rectify non conformances with Engineering or Health & Safety Coordinator.  Reporting of all non compliances within the site procedures, using Hazard reporting and Maintenance Works orders
  • Asset care of plant equipment and building, ensuing people respect such facilities, and report any defects through company reporting procedures
  • Ensuring continuous improvement activities amongst the team, challenging performance of people, machinery and systems and taking corrective action to improve and maintain disciplines
  • Effective Communication within and outside team environment, carrying out team briefing and presentations where required
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene on plant and surrounding areas, through the use of Clean as you go, liaison with Technical Services teams, or by using own team to accomplish tasks.  Adherence to and improvement of hygiene schedules.
  • Ensuring all documentation is correctly completed and actions derived from recordings is executed.  This may include the use of incident reporting
