The Role:

 

A great opportunity has arisen to join our Flour Mill based in Wellingborough!

 

You will join our close-knit, small milling team to manage and control all aspects of stock activities (ordering through to reconciliation) within targeted financial tolerances and timescales. This will involve utilising Hovis’s demand plan and current targeted stocks to generate an advanced site manufacturing plan to fulfil the raw material and Hovis supply demand requirements in a fully controlled and effective way.

 

Your remit of responsibilities will include but not be limited to managing raw materials through to bakery stocks including full stock control and stock control expertise, systems data entry, raw material ordering, financial support (data entry – reports) and compliance related activities.

 

Some of your key accountabilities  will include:

  • Manage and complete product stock reconciliation in accordance with established company procedures to agreed timescales and financial tolerances.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) management to established business procedures
  • Produce, maintain and distribute efficient and cost effective plans for all production processes on site in a timely fashion that meets all operational and Hovis service requirements.
  • Advise both internal and external customers of matters affecting their operations and decisions.

 

The ideal candidate will be one that is passionate not only about the work they do but the brand they work for, takes ownership of what they do, and is able to influence multiple stakeholders in the right way. We are looking for someone who has the mindset of continuous improvement, always bettering how they manage their responsibilities because there is a degree of autonomy and the ability to further evolve this role.

 

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities:

 

  • Good IT competency including all Microsoft office applications
  • Knowledge and experience of planning processes
  • Understanding of manufacturing process capabilities and constraints
  • Understanding of distribution processes and constraints
  • Knowledge of companies operating systems including aurora
  • Knowledge and experience of stock management and control
  • Be a good communicator at all levels
  • Able to make and take informed decisions required to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Manages administrative tasks in an organised and accurate manner

 

Desirable:

 

  • Health and Safety trained to a recognised basic level
  • Trained in communications skills
  • Formal qualifications in the use of all Microsoft office applications
  • A team player
  • Has a broad understanding of the implications of ones decisions
